The Casual Fridays

The Casual Fridays, from Las Cruces, New Mexico, play primarily ska and reggae-rocksteady, formed in 2004. Performing mainly around the American SW region, The Casual Fridays' live shows are known for their high energy and lively sound.

TCF finished their upcoming studio album with the intent of bringing their upbeat, dance-inducing ska music to the masses. They recorded the new 'Hate You' EP, with an eclectic mix of collaborations with appearances from Homegrown Outlawz, Desert Ratts, Melissa Carillo, Rotting Brains, Blest Theory, Mendel & Meosis, and Justin Comer.

The Bruce Lee Band

The Bruce Lee Band (or B. Lee Band) is the name given to the releases of Mike Park and his backing band which has so far included Less Than Jake and the Rx Bandits.

The music played by Bruce Lee Band spans nearly all subgenres of ska music. Their 2005 release, Beautiful World, showcased a heavily two-tone influenced sound, using exclusively clean guitar and unusual song structure. In contrast, the debut release features more third-wave qualities, and a sound that was very typical of 1995—the year in which it was released.

Officially, the band is known as B. Lee Band to avoid legal complications with the estate of the late Bruce Lee. The first album was released under the name Bruce Lee Band and Lee's brother Robert, who happened to be the manager of the CD manufacturing plant responsible for pressing the album, contacted Park to give him a friendly word of caution that Bruce Lee's name and likeness were copyrighted. As a result, Park change the name to the B. Lee Band.

Their Community Support Group EP was released January 28, 2014 on Really Records and introduced a new lineup that includes Jeff Rosenstock, Mike Huguenor, and Keven Higuchi.

Six Hung Sprung

Six Hung Sprung (6HS) started in August 2001 after a few U of A band nerds kicked around the idea of breaking into the music scene with some stuff no one had heard in the area. After 2 years, 6HS had a solid following in the area and started to headline local NWA venues with our demo, "4 Songs Long". In 2004, 6HS recorded and released their first full length album, "Beautiful Noise" ( http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sixhung ). With the success from this album, 6HS started touring regionally and opening for other popular bands. At the end of 2005, 6HS released a 15 song CD titled, "A Start of Something New" ( http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sixhung2 ). Since 2005, 6HS has just released a live DVD, with extras, called "Find Nessie". 6HS has recently started playing regularly again and is very excited to get back into the scene.
